Running Programs

Athletes running on a running track

Running injuries rarely come from one bad step. They usually build up from training load, mechanics, or timing that's crept out of balance. As a keen runner himself, Max has a particular interest in working with runners, from those managing a first niggle to those chasing a personal best at a local or national event.

We treat the injury in front of us, but we also look at the bigger picture: your current training load, your running mechanics, your strength and mobility, and your race goals. That combination is what actually keeps runners running, rather than just getting them back to baseline until the next flare-up.

Alongside injury management, we build individualised running programs for people training toward a specific goal, whether that's a first 5km, a half marathon, or a return to running after time off or injury. Programs are built around your current fitness, your timeline, and your life, with the strength and conditioning work built in alongside the running itself, not treated as an afterthought.

What we help with:

  • Common running injuries: shin pain, Achilles and calf issues, ITB pain, runner's knee, plantar fasciitis, hip and glute pain

  • Gait and movement assessment to identify what's contributing to pain, not just where it hurts

  • Structured training programs for races from 5km to half marathon and beyond

  • Return-to-running plans after injury, surgery, or time off

  • Strength and conditioning built around a runner's actual training week

Whatever stage you're at, carrying a niggle around training, coming back from a layoff, or building toward a goal race, we'll build a plan that keeps you running, not just resting.
