Dry Needling
If you haven't tried dry needling before, you might be surprised at how effective it can be, especially when it's used as part of a broader treatment plan rather than on its own.
Dry needling involves inserting fine needles into specific muscle trigger points to help release tension, reduce pain, and improve movement. It's a technique we use alongside hands-on manual therapy and tailored exercise programs, not instead of them. In our experience, that combination is what actually gets lasting results, rather than short-term relief that keeps coming back.
It can be a useful tool for muscle tightness and trigger points contributing to pain, ongoing tension in the neck, shoulders, or back, and as part of recovery for sports injuries and overuse conditions. As with everything we do, we'll only recommend it where it genuinely fits your situation and your goals. It's one tool in the kit, not a default treatment for every patient.
What to expect:
A thorough assessment first, to understand why you're in pain, not just where
A clear explanation of what dry needling is being used for and why, before we start
Dry needling combined with hands-on treatment and an exercise plan for your specific issue
Follow-up guidance on what to expect afterwards (mild soreness is common and normal)
