Bookings and your first appointment

No. You can book directly online. If your GP has given you a referral or a Medicare plan, bring it along and we'll work with it.

We start with your story, what hurts, what you've tried and what you want to get back to. Then we look at how your whole body moves, not just the sore spot. You leave knowing what is going on and what to do next.

Something you can move in. Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt work well. Runners should bring their running shoes. If we're looking at a knee or hip, shorts make it easier.

No. We share the building with BUILT. Strength & Conditioning, but you don't need a membership to see us.

No. We see runners chasing a PB, gym-goers with a nagging injury, people recovering from surgery, and people who just want to get back to their morning walk without pain.

Sports and running injuries, gym niggles, back and neck pain, post-surgery rehab, pregnancy and postpartum pain, and neurological conditions through home visits.

No. We combine hands-on treatment with movement-based rehab and a tailored exercise program. Treatment is active, so you build strength and learn what to do between sessions. We work upstairs from a full gym, which helps.

Yes. Max has a strong interest in complex running cases, and we offer running programs for people who want a plan as well as a fix.

Yes. It works well alongside exercise and manual therapy. Your physio will talk you through it first and only use it if it suits you.

A force plate measures how your body produces and absorbs force. It gives us objective data for return-to-sport decisions, performance benchmarks, and left-to-right differences you may not feel.

Yes. Sessions are 1:1 for 30 or 60 minutes, or bring a friend for a 2:1 session of 60 minutes. We use the reformer and mat work for injury rehab, pain, core strength, and pregnancy and postpartum.

Yes. Estelle covers pregnancy and postpartum care, including pain management, birth preparation, and core and pelvic floor recovery. She builds a plan for you, not a generic program.

Yes. Estelle visits clients who can't get to the clinic or prefer to be treated at home. This covers falls prevention, pain management, post-surgical rehab, and neurological conditions such as stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's, MS, FND and vertigo.

Yes. If you're recovering from knee, hip or shoulder surgery, you can hire a Game Ready cold compression unit weekly from our clinic to help with swelling and pain in the first few weeks.

We're upstairs at BUILT. Strength & Conditioning, 51 Gilbert Street, Adelaide CBD.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. We're closed on weekends and public holidays.

Emma is an APA titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with deep sports injury and post-op rehab experience. Max focuses on movement assessment, pain management and running. Estelle covers women's health, neurological physiotherapy and home visits. Not sure? Ask us and we'll match you.

There is 1-2hr street parking available on Gilbert street, while there is generally plenty of parking available please allow extra time for finding a park before your appointment. Access to Base Movements is through BUILT. Strength and Conditioning gym, head straight up the stairs when you enter to find your Physio.
We are without a reception staff, and instead have a sign in tablet at the front desk to let your Physio know that you’ve arrived.
If you are unable to use stairs, we can organise to treat downstairs, just let us know!

Yes. We accept most major private health funds. If you're unsure about your cover, call us before you book and we'll talk it through.

If your GP sets up an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan for you, you may be eligible for up to 5 subsidised sessions per year. Ask your GP whether you qualify.

Yes. We accept NDIS, DVA and WorkCover SA. For NDIS, get in touch first so we can look at your plan and how we can help.
